Swamy Ramananda Tirtha Rural institute (SRTRI) located at Jalalpur village of Boodhan Pochampally mandal in Nalgonda district is envisioned to become home for the skills school of EGMM. For this purpose a tripartite MoU has been entered into by EGMM SRTRI and IL& FS clusters development initiative to develop a Skills Resource Centre (SRC) that would act as "Hub" for providing appropriate services including training to enhance the effectiveness and quality of placement linked skill development programmes. The key objectives of setting up the skill centre are
1. Standards / Accreditation / Certification - Global partnerships: To find suitable partnerships with globally reputed organisations for important trades for developing standard course content and to accredit the courses and to certify them.
2. Training of Trainers: Objective is to device a well structured programme for training of the trainers in order to ensure uniformity and quality in delivery of the training. The ToT will be run not only for the Trainers of the Institute but also for the Trainers of various other organisations implementing the skill development projects of EGMM and other Govt. agencies.
3. Preparation of training modules which are accepted by the industry: To prepare training modules customized to industry requirements.
4. Proof of concept by training and placing limited batches of trainees in sectors certified by the industry: The skill school will conduct trainings based on the training modules prepared in consultation with the industry in the following sectors.
i. Banking & Finance
iii. Agriculture & Allied
iv. IT / ITES
v. Pharmaceuticals / Health
EGMM - Finishing School is one of EGMM's New Initiatives. Youth after completion of 45 days of training in their respective districts under EWRC training programme will come to Finishing school for Exposure visit and final placements. During 45days of training at Finishing school the important component is exposure to the city environment. The youth also undergo industry specific trainings so that their chances of clearing the interviews will be higher.
SRI: (Skilling Rural India) It is a new initiative of EGMM being implemented in collaboration with Dr. Reddy's Foundation Hyderabad. The objective of this initiative is to provide in - situ employment to the rural poor youth after a short term training program. The local employment opportunities are identified through a proper market scan conduct at the district level. Youth meeting the educational qualifications preferred by the companies will be shortlisted after a rigorous screening. Thus shortlisted candidates will be trained for a period of 10 to 15 days in basic work readiness and soft skills before they are placed.
The program envisages identification of jobs with employers mobilization and screening training on life-skill work readiness for the 375 youth initially in 25 villages of a selected mandal in each location. As the project is a new initiative new ideas are tried and learning will be documented and shared with EGMM. EGMM and DRF will closely strategize; monitor the project for successful implementation. The implementation and results of the project will pave the way to scale up in terms of geographical reach numbers of youth.
Generating 1125 livelihoods in 3 districts initially (375 livelihoods from 25 villages in each district) with a quarter wise target of 125 livelihoods in each district.

Spanning across an area of 100 acre the campus has infrastructure required to be called a university. Founded with a view of catering to the large gap that exists in skill enhancement sector part of SRTRI will now be transformed into a world class training academy. Apart from the sprawling campus which homes about 40 class rooms and state-of-the art laboratories it has hostel facilities for about 150 girls and 300 boys which makes it an academy which rolls out aptly trained youth readily absorbed by the industry.
